Bollywood Star Vivek Oberoi Reveals How Business Enables His Acting

In a recent interview, Bollywood star Vivek Oberoi has emphasized that his business ventures have enabled him to pursue his passion for acting without any financial constraints. The actor, who has had a successful career in films but took a break from acting a few years ago, attributes his ability to financially independent to his father's teachings.

Oberoi said that his father, Suresh Oberoi, taught him the importance of being financially independent from an early age. He recalled waking up every summer as a child and spending one month in luxury, where he would travel with his family, and the next month learning about work and entrepreneurship through selling products door-to-door.

"Acting is my passion, but business is the enabler," Oberoi stated. "It has given me the freedom to pursue my passion purely without any financial pressure or obligation to bow to a lobby or do something I'm not enjoying."

Oberoi emphasized the importance of building economic independence and creating wealth to achieve one's dreams. He said that money can buy you freedom, peace of security, and add value to our lives.

The actor has built a diverse business portfolio over the years, including stock market investments, collaborating with brands in Dubai, owning several fin-tech companies, Oberoi Mega Entertainment (an event and film production house), Karma Infrastructure (real estate), and even co-founding a university.
