Bollywood Singer Rapper Badshah Speaks Out Against Hyderabad Government's Controversial Notice to Diljit Dosanjh

Hyderabad, India - Renowned singer-rapper Badshah has come out in support of Punjabi singer Diljit Dosanjh, who faced controversy after receiving a notice from the Hyderabad government not to play any "alcohol-related songs" in his concert.

In an exclusive conversation with Sahitya Aaj Tak, Badshah shed light on the issue and sparked a heated debate about the double standards of society when it comes to artists making music related to alcohol.

"You're telling him not to sing or make songs about alcohol, but then you sell liquor everywhere," Badshah said bluntly. "Why can't they be made?"

Badshah's statement was met with a mix of reactions on social media as fans and fellow artists alike praised his boldness. The 'Genda Phool' hitmaker also pointed out the hypocrisy of allowing foreign artists to sing about similar topics without any issue.

"An artist represents society, which keeps them relevant," Badshah said. "They speak about things the whole world wants to say."

The rapper, who has lent his voice to several hits like 'Let's Nacho' and 'Garmi', also expressed admiration for Diljit Dosanjh, calling him a true mentor and guiding light.

On a professional front, Badshah recently added his voice to the titular track of Ishq Vishk Rebound and is set to sing in Varun Dhawan-starrer Baby John.
