Bollywood Rapper Badshah Sued by Media Company Over unpaid Dues

In a shocking turn of events, renowned rapper and singer Badshah has been sued by a media company in Mumbai for failing to pay dues as per their contract. According to sources, the media company had completed all services related to the production and promotion of the track "Baawla", which featured Badshah and fellow artist Amit Uchana.
However, the complainants claimed that despite multiple reminders, Badshah has failed to release a single penny towards those involved in making the project. The matter is currently being heard by the Karnal District Court with case file number ARB 47/2024 (CNR Number: HRKR010130502024).
"Baawla", which gained over 151 Million views on YouTube, was released on Badshah's YouTube channel, and all marketing strategies were put in place at a significant expense. The issue now centres around whether Badshah can be held accountable for not honouring payment terms agreed upon.
This is the second time that Badshah has faced legal repercussions for non-payment of dues, with his last incident being related to his promotional activities on an online betting company app 'FairPlay' in 2023. Several other celebrities were also called out by authorities for allegedly promoting the app.
The ongoing saga highlights the issue of non-payment in the entertainment industry and poses a significant concern for the reputation of artists like Badshah who are often held to high standards by their fans and industry professionals alike.
