BJP Alleges Congress Leaders Spread False Information Ahead Of Maharashtra Elections

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) wrote to the Election Commission of India on Monday seeking an FIR against senior Congress leaders Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi over what they described as a "continued unsubstantiated, malicious and slanderous campaign" in poll-bound Maharashtra. The party alleged that the Congress leaders were making false claims about the BJP.
However, Congress has denied any wrongdoing, stating that their claims are based on facts and not misinformation. This exchange comes ahead of the Maharashtra Assembly elections, which are expected to be closely contested.
Security Forces Foil Militant Attack in Manipur,Kill Eleven Suspects
In another incident, security forces neutralized eleven suspected militants during an encounter in Jiribam district of Manipur on Monday. The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel also sustained injuries during the operation.
Two CRPF officials were injured and are being treated at a hospital. One of the injured personnel is said to be in critical condition. The attack follows similar incidents in the region, where armed militants have been targeting security forces and civilians.
Equity Fund Inflows Surge 21% To ₹41,887 Crore In October
The Association of Mutual Funds in India reported that equity mutual fund inflows surged 21.69 percent month-on-month to reach ₹41,887 crore in October. The overall Assets Under Management (AUM) increased to ₹67,25,000 crore.
Meanwhile, exchange-traded funds (ETFs) saw a significant jump in inflows, reaching ₹13,441.8 crore in October. The performance of Small-cap and Mid-cap segments also demonstrated strong demand during this time period, according to the Association of Mutual Funds in India.
NMDC Releases Q2 Results, Posts 22.54% Jump In Revenue
State-owned National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC) reported a 16.66 percent increase in its consolidated net profit to ₹1,195.63 crore for the September 2024 quarter. Additionally, the company experienced a 22.54 percent jump in revenue from core operations during this period.
