BITS Pilani Forms Strategic MoU with Aditya Birla Science & Technology Company To Fostering Academic & Research Collaboration
Pilani, India: Birla Institute of Technology and Science Pilani (Bits Pilani) has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Aditya Birla Science and Technology Company (ABSTC), marking an important milestone in bridging academic research with industrial application.
The strategic MoU aims to foster academic and research collaboration, with a focus on propelling scientific and technological advancements towards human resource development in areas of mutual interest. The partnership will enable joint research initiatives in basic and applied sciences, exchange of expertise through workshops, conferences, and symposiums, as well as academic and skill-based collaborations.
BITS Pilani students will now have the opportunity to complete research projects and PS projects in ABSTC's state-of-the-art research facilities, while employees of ABSTC can take advantage of PhD programs offered by Bits' Institute through its Ph.D. Aspirant Scheme.
"In this MoU, we are looking forward to leverage the industrial applications of our academic research for the benefit of society," said Prof V Ramgopal Rao, Vice-Chancellor at BITS Pilani. "Our long-term goal is to stimulate creativity and provide innovative solutions."
Aditya Birla Science and Technology Company's Chairman-Director Dilip Gaur also welcomed the partnership, stating, "This collaboration not only enables impactful research between academia and industry but supports our commitment to nurturing talent and fostering innovation within the scientific community."
