The three leaders are orchestrating an unprecedented stretch for Live Nation Canada, marked by the opening of Rogers Stadium in Toronto this summer, which promises to host world-renowned acts like Coldplay, Blackpink, and Oasis. This monumental festival is set to bring a new level of international recognition to the city's thriving music scene.

This year's celebration also honored an exceptional manager who has had a vital impact on Canadian culture. Derek "Drex" Jancar was named the winner of the Impact Award as part of Billboard Canada Power Players 2025, with special recognition going to his new endeavor, October's Very Own (OVO).

At just four decades old, Drex continues to shape the trajectory of talented musicians through the community-driven foundation of The Remix Project. He shared his insights on how his Toronto roots inspire creative vision and drive authenticity.

"It's the nucleus of everything," he said. "It's where everyone worked on their skills and put blood, sweat, and tears into their career paths... It's shaped us and it's what makes us unique."

Additionally, Billboard Canada has released its first edition of Managers to Watch, which shines a spotlight on unsung heroes of the music industry who often fly under the radar. Among those featured are leading figures from artists such as Kaytranada, Jessie Reyez, Charlotte Cardin, Connor Price, and Toronto's The Beaches.

Notable among this year's winners was Laurie Lee Boutet, who won Manager of the Year for her work with The Beaches. She revealed her insights on navigating viral momentum to lasting success in an interview for Billboard Canada.

This lineup has solidified its influence, especially at a pivotal juncture for Canadian music. With regulatory reviews under way and ongoing battles against foreign streaming companies, one thing is undeniable – the current crop of professionals is shaping destiny.

This edition further emphasizes their pivotal role as shapers of today's vibrant musical landscape in Canada. At the same time, major milestones have highlighted Live Nation's continued hold on the nation's festival circuit and Toronto as a marquee live music center, boosting tourism figures nationwide.
