Bihar Aims to Lure Investments with Mega Event, Bihar Business Connect 2024
Patna, November 22: The Bihar government is set to host its highly anticipated mega event, the Bihar Business Connect (BBC) 2024, on December 19-20 in Patna, in a bid to attract significant investments in sectors such as textiles, food processing, and electric vehicles (EVs). This two-day event will serve as a platform for the state government to promote business and job creation opportunities across key industries.
Over 80 countries are expected to participate in this year's second edition of the event, which promises to be even more ambitious than its precursor. In addition to Union ministers, secretaries of central ministries, and major industry associations from around the world, a large number of government officials from state departments will also attend the event.
In preparation for this occasion, the Chief Secretary of Bihar had convened review meetings to coordinate the efforts of different state departments for a successful event. The registration website for the event has already gone live, with high user engagement observed so far.
In an official statement, the Bihar government described its role as a growing industrial hub in the country. The state aims to create employment opportunities and welcome business investments across various sectors through this initiative.
The state has successfully established itself as an attractive location for national and international investors alike through its industry-related policies and infrastructure. The registration website launch was part of efforts by Industry and Tourism Minister Nitish Mishra who had vowed to provide the best possible experience for investors during a recent visit to Kolkata earlier in July.
Bihar has made significant progress in creating opportunities for growth and development, a process set to be further supported and accelerated with BBC 2024. The government expressed confidence that this event will successfully open doors for investment and creation of employment opportunities.
