Biden Administration Sparks WW3 Fears with US-Made Missile Attack on Russia

Moscow, Russian Federation - Russian lawmaker Maria Butina has warned of the impending danger of World War Three, citing an alleged decision by the Biden administration to allow Ukraine to use US-made weapons to strike deep into Russia.

Butina, currently a member of Russia's State Duma, expressed her concerns in a recent interview with Reuters. "These guys, Biden's administration, is trying to escalate the situation to the maximum while they still have power and are still in office," she said. "I have a great hope that (Donald) Trump will overcome this decision if this has been made because they are seriously risking the start of World War Three which is not in anybody's interest."

The alleged decision, reported by US officials and a source familiar with the matter, would allow Ukraine to launch strikes using US-made ATACMS tactical missiles deep into Russian territory. The Kremlin has yet to comment on the reports.

Russia's senior lawmakers have also expressed outrage over the potential move. Andrei Klishas, a senior member of the Federation Council, warned that it could "end with the Ukrainian statehood in complete ruins by morning." Meanwhile, first deputy head of the Russian upper house's international affairs committee, Vladimir Dzhabarov, described Moscow's response as "immediate" and likened it to a "very big step towards the start of World War Three."

Russian President Vladimir Putin had previously cautioned that Western approval for such strikes would mean "the direct involvement of NATO countries, the US, and European countries in the war in Ukraine." In late October, he updated Russia's nuclear doctrine to say that if Moscow came under a direct attack from the West, it may consider a nuclear response.

Lawmaker Maria Butina also expressed her opinion on the development. "I guess there are some people in the United States who have nothing to lose for whatever reason or who are completely off the grid so much that they simply do not care," she said. Her comments echo sentiments of concern and alarm from Russian officials, highlighting the escalating tensions between Russia and the Western world.

As the situation continues to unfold, the international community remains on high alert, watching closely to see how events will play out in the coming days.
