Berger Paints Launches Revolutionary 'Tank Kool', Cools Water in Plastic and Concrete Tanks

In a groundbreaking move, Berger Paints, India's leading paint manufacturer, has launched its innovative product "Tank Kool", designed to cool down hot water stored in plastic and concrete tanks. The brainchild of Abhijit Roy, MD & CEO of Berger Paints, was conceived two years ago during a visit to Nagpur, where contractors faced the daily challenge of waiting for tap water to cool down due to scorching summer temperatures.

"The water from the tap is unbearably hot. We have to wait for it to cool down," said a contractor, who triggered Roy's idea to find a solution. Upon his return to Kolkata, Roy assembled his top team to create a product that could be used on any surface and maintained its efficacy. After several iterations, the breakthrough came - a combination of a grip primer, heat reflecting coating with an anti-dust layer.

"Tank Kool is a game-changer, especially for markets where summer temperatures remain high for long periods," said Roy in a statement. "Our product can be used in various industries such as construction, pharmaceuticals, and food processing, making it a win-win for manufacturers and consumers alike."

The launch of Tank Kool marks Berger Paints' entry into the specialized cooling solutions market, with opportunities to sell across various geographies. As India's population continues to urbanize and face increasing thermal stress, products like Tank Kool are set to become increasingly important in mitigating these issues.

Berger Paints' innovative spirit continues to inspire new products and solutions for Indian industries, solidifying its position as a leader in the paint and coatings sector.
