However, for those who require financial services or cash withdrawals, digital banking solutions will remain operational throughout the holiday period. Customers can make use of online banking and mobile apps to manage their finances, while ATMs will also be available for cash withdrawal.
The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) plays a crucial role in determining the annual holiday calendar for banks across the country. According to sources, national holidays, religious festivals, cultural observances, and local events are considered when preparing the list of public holidays.
As of now, the RBI has announced the tentative holiday schedule for January 2025, which includes New Year's Day on January 1, 2025. However, the official list has yet to be released by the RBI.
