Baidu Unveils Advanced Text-to-Image Generator I-RAG and No-Code Developer Platform Miaoda Amid AI Expansion
China's technology giant Baidu has taken another step in its quest to bolster its artificial intelligence (AI) offerings with the introduction of two new products: I-RAG, a text-to-image generator that tackles "hallucinations" in LLM-based AI; and Miaoda, a no-code developer platform generating code using large language models.
At Baidu World Conference on Tuesday, CEO Robin Li showcased the capabilities of I-RAG, designed to address the issue of images deviating from user input prompts or containing non-existent elements. By leveraging its search capabilities, Baidu's AI engine can generate images directly from speech interactions, providing a more accurate and reliable output.
In addition to I-RAG, Baidu launched Miaoda – a developer platform empowering users without extensive coding expertise to create applications via a visual interface. The platform's LLM-based capabilities enable developers to build custom code with reusable components and advanced assistance, bridging the gap in AI tool offerings for businesses across the globe to those in the US.
Industry experts, including Manukrishnan SR of practice director at Everest Group, note that this development exemplifies a broader trend among tech giants such as Baidu offering user-friendly AI tools. According to the expert, US-based companies are already pioneering similar technologies to develop applications through visual interfaces and intuitive component reuse, providing an exciting space for businesses looking to explore the power of AI without the need for extensive coding knowledge.
