Ayushman Bharat Vay Vandana Cards Reach Milestone, Over 10 Lakh Senior Citizens Enroll

New Delhi (October 29, 2024): Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has inaugurated multiple health sector projects worth Rs 12,850 crore at the All India Institute of Ayurveda in New Delhi. On this occasion, he announced that every senior citizen aged 70 and above will receive free treatment in hospitals under the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB PM-JAY) scheme.

As part of this initiative, a new "Vay Vandana Card" has been launched for senior citizens aged 70 and above. This card promises transformative health insurance coverage, enabling these individuals to access free healthcare benefits under the AB PM-JAY scheme. Over 10 lakh senior citizens have already enrolled for the Vay Vandana Card within three weeks of its rollout.
