AWL Agri Business Faces Continued Decline Amid Broader Market Challenges

A major player in the edible oil sector, AWL Agri Business, is struggling to recover from a slump that shows no signs of abating. Despite some brief respite, its year-to-date performance remains decidedly negative, bucking the trend set by the broader market.
According to market data, AWL Agri Business saw a 3.17% decline on June 12, 2025, marking its second consecutive day of losses and pushing its total decline so far in the period to 3.97%. This was coupled with an intraday low of Rs 267, representing a decrease of 3.21%.
In terms of technical performance, AWL Agri Business is positioned above its 20-day and 100-day moving averages but lags behind its 5-day, 50-day, and 200-day counterparts, indicating mixed short-term trends.
The situation is not unique to AWL Agri Business, as the Sensex has also faced challenges. Falling sharply by 879.69 points to 81,691.98 on June 12, with a decline of 1%, its performance mirrors that of several other major companies in the sector. However, compared to the broader market's performance, AWL Agri Business did show some stability over the past week, gaining by a modest 0.70% against the Sensex's gain of just 0.31%.
Yet overall, its year-to-date numbers paint a far more concerning picture, showcasing an ongoing struggle at -13.35%, contrastingly with the Sensex enjoying a return of 4.55%. Even over longer periods, such as the past three years, AWL Agri Business has seen a staggering decline of 57.12%, far short of gains made by the broader Sensex market of 50.44%.
