Arya Boosts Morale of National Games Players with Presence at Rajat Jayanti Sports Complex
Dehradun, January 30: The Dehradun edition of the National Games took a significant turn today as Sports Minister Rekha Arya paid a visit to the 'Rajat Jayanti Sports Complex' to watch some of the thrilling events.
On her maiden visit, minister Arya observed basketball and squash matches closely. Later in the afternoon, she travelled to Maharana Pratap Sports College to attend two women's basketball matches between Punjab and Uttar Pradesh before watching the men's match involving Tamil Nadu and Punjab.
At the tournament venue, she was keen to know the players' thoughts on their accommodations, transportation, and other facility arrangements that were witnessed by her.
For squash game spectators at Rajeev Gandhi International Cricket Stadium, minister Arya ensured adequate security while simultaneously emphasizing player safety measures should not cause inconvenience.
With this visit to the National Games, State Government aims to ensure a successful showpiece for Dehradun-based competition.
