AppDirect Acquires vCom Solutions to Expand Recurring Technology Services Platform

In a move aimed at solidifying its position as a single platform for buying, selling, and managing recurring technology services through advisors, AppDirect plans to acquire vCom Solutions. The deal is expected to bring significant technology capabilities and resources to AppDirect's B2B subscription commerce platform.

According to the companies announced in a press release on Tuesday (Nov. 12), vCom Solutions' artificial intelligence-powered software platform, vManager; its suite of IT spend managed services; and its wholesale buyers' club, QuantumShift, are set to be integrated into AppDirect's current technology management functionality.

"This acquisition will empower our advisors to offer the world's most comprehensive IT procurement and management platform to organizations of all sizes," said Nicolas Desmarais, Chairman and CEO of AppDirect. "By augmenting AppDirect's current technology management functionality with the depth and breadth of vManager, we can provide a more robust solution for our customers."

The planned acquisition is subject to customary closing conditions and will add significant value to AppDirect's existing platform.

Prior to the closure of the transaction, vCom's direct sales team and branded franchise advisors are set to be spun out as an exclusive partner to AppDirect. Meanwhile, vCom partners will join the AppDirect partner ecosystem, gaining access to technology solutions supported through AppDirect's catalog.

This acquisition comes hot on the heels of AppDirect's prior acquisitions, including Builtfirst and ADCom Solutions' Network Operations Center (NOC) in August. The deals aim to further AppDirect's vision to become "the premier destination for marketplace solutions."

With this latest move, AppDirect aims to establish itself as a one-stop-shop for recurring technology services management, solidifying its position as a leading player in the B2B commerce space.
