'Any Support Extended to Pakistan is a Support to a Terror Organisation': ABISHEK BANERJEE

In a scathing rebuke to nations that offer support to Pakistan, Trinamul Congress MP and party's national general secretary Abhishek Banerjee said on Tuesday that any assistance extended to Pakistan is effectively backing terrorism.

Banerjee, who is part of an all-party parliamentary delegation, made these remarks during a meeting with South Korea's minister of first vice foreign affairs, Kim Hong-Kyun. They discussed strengthening bilateral cooperation and coordinating against global terrorism.

Addressing the Pahalgam terror attack on April 22, Banerjee stated that the incident no longer constitutes India's sole concern; it has become an international issue.

"Whenever we point out Pakistan's role in harboring terrorists in their own territory, nobody believes us," he said. "We've had decades of Pakistan providing shelter to global terrorists and our repeated pleas have fallen on deaf ears."

Banerjee's comments also drew a parallel between India's economic growth and Pakistan's struggling economy. He pointed out how countries sheltering and nurturing terrorism can't be trusted.

"When we say that our enemy is in the backyard, it doesn't last long," he warned. "The snake can then bite wherever it pleases."

Banerjee expressed his deep connection with South Korea on social media platforms, mentioning the cultural bond between their nations. He also stated India's strong stance against terrorism and its efforts to dismantle terror networks.

"Whenever Pakistan fails us, we don't falter," he said. "We must come together to combat global terrorism."

Banerjee emphasized that India will not waver in its resolve against terrorism, even if it faces criticism from others.

"Terrorism is a crime against humanity, and those who protect it should be held fully accountable," he stated during the meeting with South Korea's foreign minister.
