Amitabh Bachchan's Humble Beginnings: 'Never Imagined This House Would Be Mine!'
Mumbai, Dec 11 (IANS): In a heartwarming and candid episode of "Kaun Banega Crorepati 16", host Amitabh Bachchan shared his inspiring reflection on the struggles he faced in his early days as an aspiring actor.
The legendary Bollywood star took the audience back to his journey from humble beginnings, walking miles on foot with just a bag in hand while job-hunting. "I never travelled by car," Bachchan said. "You'd at least have a bag; I didn't even have that. When I used to go for interviews, I would get off at the station and walk everywhere on foot."
Bachchan's nostalgia-tinged reminiscence was met with awe from contestant Nishant Jaiswal from Chhattisgarh, who had been repeatedly rejected by the show until now. The artisan-dedicated IPS aspirant surprised everyone with a heartfelt story of walking miles to Bachchan's home, silently praying for an opportunity to be selected.
Bachchan was touched by Jaiswal's tale and shared his own struggles in securing work, creating an empathetic connection between two individuals from vastly different backgrounds. The experience marked the poignant link between personal ambitions and perseverance.
Abhishek Bachchan recently appeared on "Kaun Banega Crorepati 16" to promote his new film "I Want To Talk", keeping up with his father's tradition of promoting upcoming projects through the show.
As part of its regular series, "Kaun Banega Crorepati 16" airs every Monday to Friday on Sony Entertainment Television.
