Ajith Kumar Delves into Motorsport Frenzy: Actor Takes Temporary Detour from Acting to Pursue Racing Passion

Chennai (Alayaran.com): In an exclusive interview, actor Ajith Kumar announced that he will not be signing any films during the upcoming racing season, as he focuses on his motorsport endeavors. The 24H Dubai 2025 competition, which Ajith is currently participating in with his team, Ajith Kumar Racing, has become a significant milestone for him, marking the beginning of his journey into endurance racing.

For the next six months, Ajith plans to prioritize his racing schedule, acting only between October and March. He cited this temporary detour from film shoots as a way to channelize his energy and expertise towards motorsports full-time. "No one can tell me what to do," he stated firmly. "I will act in films until the racing season commences and then focus exclusively on my racing pursuits."

Ajith's foray into team ownership has been instrumental in shaping his approach towards the 24H Dubai 2025 event. The actor highlighted the distinct differences between sprinting tracks, where solely the driver is concerned, and endurance circuits such as 24H Dubai, which demand a cohesive effort from the entire car and its equipment.

Undeterred by a recent practice session where he was involved in an accident,Ajith's team demonstrated resilience and teamwork. During the incident, his car sustained extensive damage. However, Ajith continued to refine his skills through driver change drills, improving pitstop strategies and optimising efficiency.

In addition to his involvement as the main driver, Ajith had entrusted Fabian Duffieux as their newly appointed team manager in December 2024, and further refined his teamwork during the training sessions alongside Mathieu Detry, Fabian Duffieux and Cameron McLeod competing in the Porsche 992 class for Team Ajith Kumar Racing.

Ajith's commitment to motorsports comes at a notable juncture with 24H Dubai serving as his team’s first-ever competitive debut in endurance racing. With Bas Koeten Racing becoming his technical and logistical partner, this represents an exciting turning point for his team.

The entire Ajith family came out in full force last weekend, as they witnessed their loved motorsport star shine in action as he battled it out against 36 other teams during a spectacular event that demonstrated the passion that has led him to pursue such high-stakes sports activities.
