AI Will Revolutionize Australian Businesses, Says Zoho's AI Director

The Australian market has witnessed remarkable growth for Zoho, with the company recording an 18% revenue increase and a 19% rise in new customers in Australia this year alone.

Speaking to Alayaran.com, Ramprakash Ramamoorthy, Zoho's AI Director, emphasized that businesses can no longer afford to ignore AI's transformative potential. "AI isn't about standalone features," he explained. "It's about embedding intelligence directly into workflows where it truly matters."

Zoho has been focusing on its Australian market since entering the country formally in 2019, doubling its partner network and growing its local customer base. The company's commitment to "transnational localism" has enabled it to provide tailored support and resources within regional markets.

At its recent Zoholics user conference, Australia was highlighted as a key market for the company. Ramamoorthy noted that Zoho's goal is to empower local businesses with tools and support to thrive.

In addition to its AI-powered features, which are now embedded directly into products like Zoho CRM and Zoho Expense, the company has been focusing on partnerships with organizations such as Cyber Wardens and SA Leaders to equip Australian small businesses with essential cybersecurity knowledge.

"Cybersecurity is an essential foundation for businesses today," Ramamoorthy said. "Our commitment to privacy is underscored by the fact that our free tools remain ad-free."

The company's collaboration with local government councils has also led to training sessions for small business owners, including a recent workshop in Wyndham, Victoria, which taught 30 entrepreneurs how to create effective sales funnels.

Looking ahead, Ramamoorthy believes that Zoho's focus on right-sizing AI, maintaining high privacy standards, and nurturing strong local partnerships will continue to position it as a trusted technology partner in Australia and beyond.

"AI adoption isn't just about having the technology," he concluded. "It's about using it in a way that complements a well-integrated business."
