Kabul, November 12 - Afghanistan secured a thrilling three-wicket win over Bangladesh in the third One-Day International (ODI) to complete their assignment 2-1 in Sharjah.
Chasing a modest target of 246, Afghan batsmen Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Azmatullah Omarzai rode on the back of century-baker Gurbaz's unbeaten run, propelling Afghanistan to victory. This emphatic win sealed the series for Afghanistan, with Rizwan Dhany and Rashid Khan contributing valuable support.
This dominant display marked a significant milestone in Afghan cricket history as 22-year-old wicket-keeper batsman Rahmanullah gurbaz broke Sachin Tendulkar's record by becoming only the second youngest cricketer to hit eight centuries in ODI games, coming just behind Quinton de Cock, who holds the previous record.
