60-Year-Old Entrepreneur Builds Rs 2,100 Crore Empire Despite Fiery Starting Loss

In a remarkable display of determination and entrepreneurial spirit, Krishnadas Paul has achieved the unthinkable by building a business empire worth over Rs 2,100 crore despite losing Rs 150 million in his early days. At the age of 60, he defied the norms of retirement and took control of Bisk Farm, one of India's leading biscuit brands.

Born in the small village of Kamarkita in Bardhaman, West Bengal, Paul joined his father's business at a young age before founding Aparna Agency in 1974. However, following a family feud that led to him losing the company, he was forced to start anew in 2000. This marks the beginning of SAJ Food Company and Bisk Farm.

Paul's vision for Bisk Farm was simple - create sugar-free biscuits tailored to cater to niche markets. Despite an initial loss of Rs 15 crore in 2004, Paul was undeterred, shifting his focus to Eastern India. By introducing seven new biscuit varieties, each catering to local tastes, he was able to establish a strong foothold in the region.

Under his leadership, Bisk Farm's popularity soared, becoming the second-largest biscuit brand in Eastern India. Today,Paul's empire operates five factories and has become a household name. His family continues to manage SAJ Food, with son Arpan Paul taking over as Executive Chairman.

Paul's remarkable story serves as a testament that age is just a number. He proved that determination, innovative strategies, and persistence can help anyone achieve success despite setbacks.
