30th MTV Europe Music Awards Celebrates in Manchester with Star-Studded Lineup
MANCHESTER, England – The 30th anniversary of the MTV Europe Music Awards (EMAs) is set to dazzle fans worldwide from the Co-op Live in Manchester, with British singer Rita Ora returning for her third stint as host. The event promises a lineup of electrifying performances by artists like Benson Boone, Le Sserafim, Shawn Mendes, and more, showcasing a blend of global music talents.
This year, the Global Icon Award will be bestowed upon Busta Rhymes, celebrated for his dynamic career featuring hits like "I Know What You Want" and "Break Ya Neck," and collaborations with artists including the Pussycat Dolls and Chris Brown.
The ceremony marks a return to normalcy after last year's cancellation in Paris due to the Israel-Hamas conflict, and will be broadcast live across 150 countries on MTV.
Leading the nominations with seven nods is Taylor Swift, though she will not attend as she supports her partner Travis Kelce at Arrowhead Stadium. Other notable nominees include Ariana Grande, Billie Eilish, Charlie XCX, and Sabrina Carpenter, each with five nominations.
The evening's presenters will include Aaron Taylor Johnson, Gavin Rossdale, and Jodie Turner-Smith. In a poignant tribute, the awards will also honor the memory of Liam Payne, who tragically passed away last month following a fall from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires.
As the stars begin to grace the red carpet, anticipation builds for what is expected to be a night of memorable music, fashion, and tributes at this iconic celebration of music's finest.
