Black Business Hub Brings Together Community for Final Winter Market
In an effort to bring together local businesses, entrepreneurs, and families for a festive afternoon, the Black Business Hub hosted their final Winter Market in Madison, Wisconsin. The event was filled with holiday cheer, as visitors enjoyed Christmas carols sung by Leotha Stanley, the aroma of cuisine from local chefs, and unique gift shopping.
The market, which took place on Saturday, marked the third time it has been held and organizers reported that the community has thoroughly enjoyed it, particularly the businesses. According to Ruben Anthony, president and CEO of the Urban League of Greater Madison, the businesses are excited to have a platform to showcase their goods, access capital, participate in trainings, meet investors, and have a space to call their own.
Anthony expressed his enthusiasm for hosting similar events in the future and encouraged entrepreneurs to reach out if they wish to get a head start on their business. He highlighted that the Black Business Hub aims to be a resource not just for south Madison but for the entire community, offering training programs such as how to start and grow a business.
The event was well-received by attendees, with Anthony stating that he is already looking forward to hosting similar events next year. As the Black Business Hub continues to support and empower local businesses, it remains committed to being a valuable resource for entrepreneurs seeking guidance and growth opportunities.
